Departments of Aviation / Flight Plan Verfication

In the event an aircraft lands at an unattended airfield and the pilot forgets to close his/her flight plan, the Worldwide Aircraft Surveillance Platform (WASP) Software App can be used to find information about the status of arrival.

In most cases the pilot simply forgot to close his/her flight plan.

On the flip side, it may also show that the aircraft is not in the WASP Database. Several possibilities present themselves:

1.   It never left.

2.   It was involved in an accident.

3.   It had an emergency and diverted to another airport… and amidst the ensuing    celebration of getting on the ground safely, he/she forgot to close his/her        flight plan.

In each of these incidents, WASP becomes a very useful tool to investigate what happened.
